Not impressed at all very disappointed they are all scratched was expecting a better quality product for the amount of money I paid. AS IT TURNED OUT THEY HAD A VERY THIN PROTECTIVE FILM ON THEM WHICH WAS VERY HARD TO DETECT SO THE LED SCUFF PLATES ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION AND LOOK GREAT ON THE CAR SO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO JAZZ UO THEIR CAR I RECOMMEND THEM. The scufr plates with the led lights give you a other look from the others. You stand out while give a warm and nice look.

The product itself is good looking though no instructions so it’s a bit of guess work what the controller buttons will do. I set mine to simple red. Looks great- for a time. But as one reviewer stated the battery life is pretty bad and fresh charging for over an hour after maybe 1-2 weeks. Maybe only drivers door if you were opening a single door only, but then what’s the point of having for the other doors? Also my kids have kicked them off 2-3 times on getting into the car in a hurry as they’re magnetic, not magical. Obviously as a scuff plate, the irony’s not lost on me. A Fellow parent chased me down in his own ute to return one to me once- embarrassing! occurred to me to glue them down and leave them depowered but it will be an “oh well” and donate to someone else for me.
Hi MD, thank you for your feedback. These removable magnetic LED sill plates are mainly designed as a decorative feature rather than heavy-duty scuff protection. Battery life varies with how often the lights activate and how long they stay on.
The magnetic mounting allows easy removal for charging. For a firmer hold, double-sided tape can be used, with charging done in place using a suitable longer cable from the car’s USB outlet or a power bank while parked.

Firstly the scuff plates scratched my car badly, secondly the battery dies extremely quick...

These scuff plates are designed for BYD models that do not already have factory-fitted scuff plates.
The BYD Sealion 7 usually comes with factory-fitted scuff plates, so this set may not be suitable unless you are planning to remove or replace the original ones.
If you’re unsure, please send us a photo of your current door sill area and we’ll check it for you.
Hello, can you please tell me how long the battery lasts once the lights are fully charged?

Battery life depends on how often the doors are opened, as the lights only turn on when the door is opened.
With normal everyday use, they should last several weeks between charges. When needed, they can be recharged by USB, and you can also charge them using a power bank while they remain on the door sill.

These are compatible with BYD models that do not already have factory-fitted sill scuff plates.
If your Sealion 8 does not have factory scuff plates installed, they should be fine.
Some customers also choose to replace their factory-fitted scuff plates with these if they prefer this design.
Hey just wondering if the “Illuminated Door Sill Lights for BYD Atto 3 - LED Welcome Pedal Logo Lamp with USB Charging” fits the byd seal aswell ?

We haven’t tested these on the BYD Seal, but the product page/images show the dimensions which you can check against your car. Just keep in mind the logo on the sill lights says “Atto 3,” so it might not be suitable for the Seal.
